2. Orders & Contract
Your purchase agreement is concluded when you receive an order confirmation by email. We may reject or amend an order if an item is out of stock, a pricing error occurred, or delivery becomes impossible. In such cases we notify you and refund where applicable.
3. Prices & Payment
All prices are in ISK and include VAT. Any shipping fees are shown before payment unless the product is marked with free shipping. Online store payments are card-only via a secure gateway. For special orders or B2B, contact info@heimilioggardar.is.
4. Delivery (Dropp)
Items in stock dispatch within 1–4 business days. We ship with Dropp and their delivery terms apply. The customer is responsible for correct delivery details. In case of delay, we will inform you; if the delay is substantial you may cancel.
5. Shipping Fees
Products with a total value over 15,000 ISK qualify for free shipping.
Exceptionally large or heavy items may still incur a delivery fee — if so, this will be clearly specified at checkout.
6. Pre-Orders & Back-Orders
Products available as pre-orders/back-orders are not in stock. The usual lead time is about 2-3 weeks (unless otherwise stated). The full amount is charged at the time of the order (except for interest-only “wishlists”). We will notify you of delays; statutory cancellation rights apply in case of significant deviation.
7. Right of Withdrawal (14 days)
You may return items within 14 days from delivery. Conditions: unused, original condition (preferably original packaging), all accessories included, and proof of purchase. Standard return shipping is borne by the customer. If you use our Dropp return label, the actual return cost will be deducted from your refund (we inform you of the amount before confirming). Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 14 days after we receive and inspect the item.
Exceptions: custom/special orders and sealed hygiene/nutrition items once opened.
8. Defects & Complaints
If an item arrives defective or damaged, contact us promptly. In line with Icelandic consumer law we offer, as applicable, repair, replacement, price reduction, or cancellation with refund. We cover reasonable shipping costs for returns of defective items.
9. Warranty
Statutory rights apply. Some products carry a lifetime warranty, others 5 years; the applicable term is shown on the product page. Warranty does not cover normal wear, misuse, or improper handling. Proof of purchase is required.
10. Retention of Title
Goods remain the property of Heimili & Garðar until paid in full.
11. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, transport or telecom disruptions). We will inform you without undue delay.

Personal data is processed according to Icelandic law and GDPR. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
13. Disputes
We aim to resolve issues amicably. Consumers may contact the Consumer Disputes Committee (via Neytendastofa). Jurisdiction is the District Court of Reykjavík. Icelandic law applies.
14. Changes
Terms may be updated from time to time. New versions take effect upon publication and do not apply retroactively to completed orders.
