Delivery and Shipping

How long does delivery take?

Orders for items in stock are processed within 1–4 business days. If a product is on “pre-order / back-order,” delivery usually takes around 2-3 weeks. We’ll notify you if there’s any delay.

Which shipping company do you use?

We use Dropp as our delivery partner. You’ll receive a tracking notification once your order has been handed over to Dropp.

Is shipping included in the price?

Most products include free shipping. For larger or heavier items, a delivery charge may apply according to Dropp’s price list. The cost is clearly displayed before checkout.

Do you ship outside Iceland?

No. At this time, we only ship within Iceland.


Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You may return any item within 14 days of receiving it. The product must be unused, in original condition, and preferably in its original packaging. Please contact us first at info@heimilioggardar.is before sending your return.

What does it cost to return a product?

If you use a Dropp return label through us, the actual return cost will be deducted from your refund. We will always inform you of the amount before confirming.

When will I receive my refund?

Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days after we have received and inspected the returned item.

Are there any exceptions to the return policy?

Yes. Custom-made products and opened hygiene or personal care items are not eligible for return unless faulty.


Pre-Orders and Stock

What does “pre-order” or “back-order” mean?

This means the product is currently out of stock, but you can still place an order to secure your item. Delivery typically takes around 2 weeks from the order date.

Do I pay at the time of pre-order?

Yes, the full amount is charged when you place a pre-order. In cases where you sign up to a “wishlist” (interest-only list), no payment is taken until the item becomes available.


Warranty and Quality

Do your products have a warranty?

Yes. All products come with a statutory warranty under Icelandic consumer law (Act No. 48/2003). Some brands also provide extended manufacturer warranties – such as 5-year or lifetime coverage – as noted on the product page.

What should I do if my product is defective?

Please contact us as soon as possible at info@heimilioggardar.is. Depending on the issue, we offer repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund. We cover return shipping costs for faulty products.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit and debit cards through a secure payment gateway. For special orders or B2B purchases, please contact us at info@heimilioggardar.is.

Is it safe to shop online with you?

Yes. Our webshop uses encrypted (SSL) connections and PCI-compliant payment gateways. We do not store your card or payment details.
